Dominik Skoczek once again elected to the Board of the Society of Audiovisual Authors (SAA)

On Tuesday, 1 April, the General Assembly of the Society of Audiovisual Authors, one of the largest organisations representing the interests of audiovisual creators in Europe, took place in Brussels, during which the director of SFP-ZAPA, Dominik Skoczek, was re-elected to the association's Board of Directors. He will hold this position for the fifth time.

The position on the board of the most important European organisation working to protect the interests of audiovisual creators is a great honour for SFP-ZAPA. Especially since director Skoczek received the support of all SAA members who voted that day.

"It is a great honour for me to be elected to the SAA board for the fifth time in a row. I would like to thank all collective management organisations - members of the SAA - for the trust they have placed in me and for voting for me. I see this not only as a personal honour, but above all as an expression of recognition for the activities of SFP-ZAPA, whose transparency, effectiveness and commitment are recognised and appreciated also outside Poland. Our activities go far beyond national activities - we actively participate in initiatives at the European and regional level. Just as three decades ago representatives of the French SACD supported us in our development, today we try to share our experience and help organisations from Central and Eastern Europe that are just starting out,’ Dominik Skoczek commented on his nomination

During the General Assembly, the following topics were also discussed: the next version of the European AI Code of Practice, the proceedings before the Court of Justice, which are significant for the activities of OZZ and highly unsatisfactory for the authors, as well as new ways of sharing works such as FAST Channels.

Lidia Radlińska-Gutek, head of the SFP-ZAPA legal department, also represented our organisation on site and actively participated in the proceedings.
