We would like to inform you that on Tuesday, May 13, we began paying royalties to authors for making works available to the public online for 2024.
The due remunerations should, as planned, appear in the creators' accounts within the next few days. The payments cover works made available on Cyfrowy Polsat, CANAL+ and the so-called “archival works” on the TVP service (in accordance with Repartition Board Resolutions No. 7 and 8).
At the same time, we would like to inform you that negotiations with more streaming platforms are underway and we hope that some of them will be finalized in the coming months. At this moment, in addition to the users affected by the described repartition, SFP-ZAPA has signed agreements regulating VOD remuneration issues also with such entities as Inea, Toya, as well as the A. Wajda Film Culture Center. Since the regulations confirming the right of creators to remuneration for streaming became effective on September 20, 2024, all dues to creators from platforms for making audiovisual works available after September 20, 2024 will be included in contracts with users, regardless of the dates on which they are concluded. All dues will be paid to the rightsholders after the conclusion of contracts with subsequent platforms.
